Beirut Pride Offers

Dive to clean the Mediterranean
We join the National Institute for Scuba Diving in Lebanon for the Mediterranean clean up day on Sunday 6 October 2019. Certified divers go in the water for free to collect garbage; non-certified divers stay on the boat to help with the equipment and with the surface cleaning. Meeting point at 9am at the NISD CLUB Beirut at the Zaytounay Bay Marina.
Est. 1980, the National Institute for Scuba Diving in Lebanon is the oldest operating diving center and school in Lebanon, specialized in diving education in friendly and safe environments from beginners to technical level, for open and closed circuit diving.
No Demand No Supply
On March 27th 2016, the inquisitorial commission in Mount Lebanon raided Chez Maurice and Silver brothels in Jounieh area, and saved 75 Syrian women from the biggest sex trafficking network in the history of Lebanon. The story gained huge media attention as the women told horrifying stories about the torture and abuse they suffered at the hands of one of the lead figures of the network. No Demand No Supply aims to give a voice to the women’s stories while shedding light on an aspect that was totally disregarded in the mainstream media.

Milk The Movie
In 1972, Harvey Milk (Sean Penn) and his then-lover Scott Smith leave New York for San Francisco, with Milk determined to accomplish something meaningful in his life. Settling in the Castro District, he opens a camera shop and helps transform the area into a mecca for gays and lesbians. In 1977 he becomes the nation's first openly gay man elected to a notable public office when he wins a seat on the Board of Supervisors. The following year, Dan White (Josh Brolin) kills Milk in cold blood. Thursday 3 October 2019, 8pm, free screening.

We’re throwing you a free dinner on Tuesday 1 October 2019 for you to invite your family member, your mother, father, sibling, grand-parent, aunt, uncle, etc. You can also help in preparing the food. Preparation starts at 3pm. Dinner from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
